The mission of the national Holocaust Butterfly Project is, “One butterfly painted for every child lost in the Holocaust". Our Studio was honored to be invited to create one of the seven installations in Tucson. Gail and Laura created twelve panels, 7’ X 6”, installed in metal frames welded to the bridge (thank you Joe Tolano!). The panels incorporate over 400 community glazed ceramic butterflies, handmade flowers and background tiles. It’s an experience to walk through this bridge among the rainbow of colors, symbolizing hope!
